About Mumbling Republican!

Here is the dirt on us... or is that in the blog?  A short synopsis of where it came from, not sure where it is going, guess we will find out that at some future point.

I'm an aging poet/engineer who just got really fed up with the state of damn near everything, so I started this web site to do some venting and use it also as a means of sorting through what is going on in the world, having some fun with it, trying to make sense of it, and maybe even extracting a little wisdom from it all.

It all started down at my friend Erwin's back in the late winter of 2004 when he rolled cheek and cut a rather impressive fart, being liberals and or radical centrists we can do that sort of thing with some degree of impunity.  My immediate reply was, "ooh that was a mumbling republican."  We thought it was pretty funny and started cogitating on just what the deeper meaning of the term mumbling republican connoted.

Right off we figured then President Bush was the mumbling republican, since for as much sense he seemed to make to us and the broken English he delivered it in seemed to fit the case.  And with the rampant corruption and graft that appeared to be bursting out of the woodwork (that was a prophetic vision) the Republicans certainly deserved to have some critical fun poked at them it seemed.  Then it occurred to us the Democrats are really not much better, and jeez it ain't really them at all, it's the media.  The media is the mumbling republican, and thinking further on the matter it ain't the media any more it is the military-industrial-media complex.

If Karl Marx had live to this age, he would likely have said that Television (the military-industrial-media complex) is the opiate of the masses.  It is being used by some powerful interests to spread divisiveness and mumble out mind numbing pap that is serving no other end that I can see other
than that of destroying the Republic by paralyzing the minds of the people and so deserves a ration of shit as well.
