Mr. Shelby pinned on a button with the Bullwinkle cartoon character on it and told the listeners he would be running for governor of Minnesota, punctuating it with “April Fools.”  All I have to say Don, is bring it, I would probably vote for you providing you aren’t spending any money at a bondage strip club.  And while we are at it lets find us a presidential candidate “strong as a Bull Moose,” which is how Teddy characterized himself.  Let’s go for it, we have little to lose, no fooling!

The Republicans have recently shown some movement towards condemning these terrorist actions; but always with the caveat that they understand the people’s anger, as if justifying the very acts they just said were outragous! We should not be fooled by these half-hearted acts of condemnation; the Republicans created and nurtured the anger felt by these people.

A deperate attempt to deflect the criticism coming from rational people and aimed at Republicans was recently made by a ranking congressman, Eric Cantor. Mr. Cantor made a statement to the effect that the violence is bipartisan, as he too was the target of a violent act! To quote:

“Just recently, I have been directly threatened. A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week.”

Well, not quite! Investigation into the alleged incident showed that the local police determined it was a “random shooting”. The bullet was fired from miles away and entered at a sharply downward angle. After piercing the window, the bullet did not have enough power left to penetrate the windowblinds inside. Additionally, the building that was accidently hit is not his campaign office as claimed; it is a sometimes occupied single office where he may do fund raising.

It has also been pointed out that there isn’t any signage on the building indicating Mr. Cantor’s presence there; making it an unlikely target. I would have thought that Mr. Cantor would have learned by now that telling lies only makes matters worse.

Republicans created the fearful and hateful crowd that now threatens Democrats and to a degree our Democracy. They must be held accountable.

 Representative Peterson has said, “The president needs to keep working to convince Minnesotans and Americans in general that he understands what they’re most concerned about.” “Democrat” Peterson has made claims that came right out of the Republican scare-them-crazy camp. When the President says, “this is not going to affect you, it’s not going to add to the deficit, and we’re going to cover 30 million more people” with current health care reform, Peterson says it is not believable.

 Peterson is full of deceit. The people wanted universal health care coverage that would have removed profit takers. But that was taken out and replaced with a public option again objected to by Peterson. Even when that was reduced, Peterson still says “NO” with a dishonest “cost containment” argument. Peterson insists reform should be considered separately that his large healthcare insurance company, pharmaceutical company and Medicare defrauder friends could attack and modify for even more profit. That was the Republican open-check-book plan called the 2003 Medicare Revision that hemorrhaged the U.S. Budget. Peterson voted “YES” without any “cost containment”.

 Peterson has abandoned his constituents to this current health care robbery. He will vote “no” to beginning a change saving $135 billion in the next 10 years and $1.2 trillion in the next 20 years. Peterson does not get what Minnesotans and Americans in general are most concerned about: The doubling-up of costs to $1 out of $3 of the National budget within10 years. Peterson does not get that thousands more will join the 45,000 who suffer and die each year without healthcare coverage. Maybe Peterson will get that after he loses his job and his healthcare coverage. “

I wonder if my earlier comments about burning the right feet of these right-wing assholes as a form of symbolic punishment and dramatic impression for those Fascists that are going to ruin this country by their stubborness might be a whole lot more productive and fun.
